In those years a lot of educational work was carried out. Pupils prepared concerts, thematic evenings, various meetings, reading conferences, contests, etc. were held.

In 1952 the school moved to a new model building, where the gymnasium is now located. The first principal at this school was A.Y. Sporoshkova.

For the pedagogical staff of the school was characterized by creative training to the business, a conscious desire for novelty, a constant search for effective ways of educational process and rational forms of work. School No. 2 was one of the first in the republic to teach Buryat language to children regardless of their nationality and to teach children from the age of 6.

In the 1992/1993 academic year, with the support of the Zakamensk City Department of Education, work was underway to create a kindergarten-school-university educational complex on the basis of School No. 2.

School directors A.G. Strukova and S.H. Dyshenova were the initiators of this endeavor.

The transition to such a system was prepared by the experience of interaction with the preschool institution, the experience of experimental work. School No. 2 has already worked on an experimental program in the Buryat language (it was one of the first in the republic to introduce the Buryat language for all children from 1st to 9th grade without exception), and has been working with six-year-olds for 5 years.

The DSSHV complex is a secondary general education institution focused on the education and upbringing of children from kindergarten through 11th grade.

Structure of the complex and the content of educational work

In terms of structure, the educational complex consists of four relatively independent but organically interrelated levels.

The first level is the preschool educational institution (kindergarten groups from 2 to 6 years of age).

The second level - elementary school (1-4 kl), MIKEBI classes.

Third level - basic school (5-9 kl).

The fourth level is full secondary school (10-11 kl).

In 1999, by decision of the board of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Buryatia, the educational complex “Kindergarten - School - University” was reorganized into a municipal general education institution “Zakamensk District Gymnasium”
